The purpose of the Building Safety Act 2022 was introduced to improve building standards, in particular safety for occupants.
Under the legislation there are different classifications of building, whether this be a “relevant” building, or a “high risk” building. This is determined, in part, by the height. This is why Section 117 of the Act covers the height of buildings and the number of storeys.
Building owners now have a responsibility under the Act to know the height and classification of their building, and must be able to evidence this. This is where we can help. We can undertake a Building Height Survey to satisfy Section 117.
